Physical Therapy
Stories
Daphne Ardizon, PT
I became a PT because of my love for science and people.
When I was little I remember my mom buying me my first kids anatomy book in second grade and I loooved that book. I still have this book.
From then I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field.
I specifically remember choosing to be a Physical Therapist (as opposed to a medical doctor) because I truly wanted to spend time with my patients every step of the way during their rehabilitation process. There's something about spending time with someone and helping them the best way I know how.
My picture shows me helping my cousin when she had her second ACL surgery - she was a soccer player. She later became a PSC at one of our clinics, and now she's an OT at a local hospital. Funny how things come full circle.
