Physical Therapist | Clinic Manager
Clovis Braga, PT, DPT
Clovis Braga, PT, DPT, is originally from Brazil and has dedicated his career to physical therapy and outpatient rehabilitation since 2018. With over eight years of experience in outpatient care, Clovis is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they love through individualized, evidence-based treatment.
Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with basic proficiency in French, he brings a diverse cultural background and strong communication skills to patient care.
Clovis completed his educational training through La Salle University, FADERGS, and Nova Southeastern University, where he completed the validation of his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. His professional interests include orthopedic rehabilitation, sports performance, manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and functional movement training.
With an extensive background in athletics and martial arts, Clovis is a double black belt in both Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. His sports experience also includes boxing and CrossFit training. As a professional athlete for over five years, he competed internationally as a member of the national team for four years, earning more than 200 medals throughout his career, including a Youth Olympic Games gold medal in Australia, four national titles, and a third-place finish at a World Cup competition.
Clovis has advanced training in manual therapy, cupping, Graston Technique, and vestibular therapy, and he is currently pursuing his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification to further expand his expertise in evidence-based orthopedic care.
His journey with CORA Physical Therapy began as a student intern before transitioning into a technician role. After officially receiving his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Clovis joined CORA and later advanced into a Clinical Manager position. He initially managed a big clinic in Haines City before making Southwest Florida his home and joining the North Port clinic team
Known for his high energy, leadership, and passion for patient care, Clovis is committed to creating a motivating and positive environment while helping patients maximize recovery, performance, and quality of life.
